A good story makes people happy. And having the ability to tell people stories through filmmaking makes Yatin Nadkarni very happy.
His passion for all things 'film' began in 1993 when he worked as an assistant director for the film 'English August'. And as much as feature films attracted him, there's truly nothing more challenging than telling a story in 30 seconds or less.
His ad-making career began with Equinox Films. It was there he got his first big break, independently handling projects for major brands like Thums Up, Liril, Lux, Titan and Tata Tea to name just a few. Since then there has been no turning back.
When Yatin is not making commercials he keeps himself busy with other projects. He has conceptualized, scripted, produced and directed a touching public service film for 'The Samaritans Sahara', a suicide prevention helpline for the distressed. He has conceptualized and directed a public awareness film on the Kamala Mehta School for the Blind for J. Radical Production, headed by Mr. Anupam Kher. He has also conceptualized, directed and produced a short film "Vijaya", a public awareness film to bring about empathy towards people suffering from mentally illness. The film was done for an NGO called Manav Foundation.
Yatin is easy to work with and highly committed to his craft. Needless to say he won't rest until every story has its happy ending.
